Abdominal Wall Reconstruction


Who Should Attend

The educational activity is intended for any surgeon who regularly performs abdominal wall reconstruction procedures. General surgeons, gastroenterologists, and bariatric surgeons would find this course beneficial.

Course Description

Under the direction of course faculty, attendees will participate in didactic sessions and cadaver labs highlighting the latest regenerative medicine technologies for abdominal wall reconstruction.

The educational activity is intended for any surgeon who regularly performs abdominal wall reconstruction procedures. General surgeons, gastroenterologists, and bariatric surgeons would find this course beneficial.

Who Should Attend

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Apply novel surgical techniques in hernia repairs.
  • Address various material considerations for hernia repair.
  • Identify candidates who may benefit from MatriStem® Surgical Matrix Devices.
  • Comfortably handle and implant MatriStem devices.

Travel and Logistics


Flight Arrangements

Registered attendees are required to book flights at least 2 weeks prior to the event through Corporate Travel Management (CTM).

Accomodations

ACell will reserve hotel accomodations in your name for one night.

Reimbursement

ACell will reimburse approved expenses following the completion of the course.

Travel Compliance


ACell complies with the AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Health Care Professionals (“the AdvaMed Code”) which
prohibits ACell from paying for any travel or expenses for individuals who do not have a bona fide reason for attending the meeting or event.

In addition to the AdvaMed Code, ACell is required to report all value transfers provided to physicians as required under the Open Payments Act (formerly known as the Sunshine Act). To help ensure ACell is compliant with this requirement and to ease
travel planning for you, ACell requires all attendees to book flights through the company.

In order for ACell to pay for your flights, the flight must be within a particular window of time of the lab. ACell can only
provide a one night hotel stay unless a reasonable return flight after the lab is unavailable. In addition to travel and lodging expenses, please know that ACell is only able to reimburse you for expenses related to your travel and not for any guests.
