This patient presented with deep second degree burns to his left forearm and back of the hand. Following the removal of the damaged skin, his physician applied Cytal® Burn Matrix technology to the exposed area. Typically, burn cases scar completely over the affected area as a result of the trauma to the skin.

Nine days post-treatment the patient showed minimal scarring and the development of site-specific tissue. Impressively, 60 days following initial application, the patient’s arm showed pigmentation, hair formation and favorable range of motion.

  • Patient experienced severe 2nd degree burns to extremities. Skin grafting is standard of care to close wound and avoid infection.

  • Minimal scarring to site-specific tissue just nine days post treatment with
    Cytal® Burn Matrix technology.

  • Thirty-two days post Cytal® application.
